Anna Margret Lumban Gaol, M.Sc.

Biography

Anna Margret is a permanent lecturer at the Department of Political Science, Universitas Indonesia, who has been teaching since 1996. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from FISIP UI in 1998 and an MSc in Gender and International Relations from the University of Bristol, UK, in 2002. Her research focus includes political representation and participation, women and politics, and identity politics. Aside from having been a researcher at the Center for Political Studies (Puskapol) FISIP UI from 2010 to 2017, she currently serves as the Chairperson of Cakra Wikara Indonesia (CWI), an independent research center focusing on political analysis with a gender perspective. She is actively involved in various research and training to encourage women’s political participation and civic leadership.
